I wrote a lot about the stereotype threat in my last blog post before I had discovered what the stereotype threat was. I think I unconsciously fall prey to it on the daily. It’s not necessarily my gender that is the issue here, but mostly my feelings of ability and self worth. I find that it is during the difficult challenges or even with pairing my self doubt often gets in the way of my successes. I can see how negative stereotypes can affect the abilities of those who suffer from the stereotype threat. Not feeling on par with the rest of your peers can actually affect your ability to comprehend and to achieve the results you are looking for. Self doubt clouds your mind, it makes you feel confused, tired, stressed, exhausted, annoyed, and distracted.
